Well, we’ve known for a while that Walgreen’s was looking into a shopper’s card, just like CVS and Rite Aid. Looks like they are moving forward with that and other ideas.
Starting May 9th (this Sunday), the test markets of greater Richmond VA, greater Kansas City, Mo and greater Portland OR, will have access to the Walgreen’s Rewards Program
Members earn 10 points for every dollar spent on eligible retail items or services purchased, 100 points for every eligible prescription filled less than an 84-day supply, and 300 points for every eligible prescription that is at least an 84-day supply. Company may offer special promotions (“Bonus Point Promotions”)
Program Benefits
You earn certificates which can be redeemed for merchandise, such as:
• Gift Certificates
• AMC Movie Tickets
• Salon Wish Gift Certificates
• Paula Dean Signature 2 piece Spatula Set (10,600 points – are they kidding!?!?)
• Reebok Pilates Ball (11,000 points)
• Nine West Silver Pendent Necklace (12,700 points)
• Wii Dance Pad (13,600 points)
